What WoW Forever is
Forever is a new, permanent version of World of Warcraft that sits alongside the modern game and Classic. It’s set after the events of Warcraft III: Reforged’s Forsaken Kingdom campaign and before Molten Core, on the original continents. The level cap is 60.
Do you need to buy it?
No. Forever is included with a normal World of Warcraft subscription or Game Time. The upgrade packs are optional and mainly add the new race, early name reservation, cosmetics and, for the bigger packs, beta access and 30 days of Game Time.
The new race: Skyborne
The one big addition you do need a pack for is the Skyborne, a new playable race with its own starting experience on Zephras Isle. It comes with the Skyborne Heroic Pack and anything above it.
What we don’t know yet
- Exact realm list and realm types
- Whether there will be launch queues and how bad they’ll be (assume yes)
- Final class tuning, which is still changing on the beta
We’ll update this page as Blizzard confirms more. Follow the wire for changes as they land.
