Stress test on October 21, the day before the beta closes

Blizzard is load-testing the servers in the US and EU. If you can log in, it's worth doing.

Blizzard has announced a WoW Forever stress test on Wednesday 21 October for both US and EU realms. That’s one day before the beta ends on 22 October.

Stress tests exist to push as many players onto the servers at once as possible, so Blizzard can find problems before launch night. Expect queues, lag and the odd disconnect. That’s the point.

Why it’s worth joining

  • It’s the closest thing to launch-night conditions you’ll see before 4 November.
  • It’s a last chance to try a class or a starting zone before you commit on launch day.
  • The more people who join, the smoother launch is likely to be.

Blizzard hasn’t given start and end times in the posts we’ve seen. We’ll update this post when they do.
